Inaugural DRC Client Conference, held February 22nd and 23rd at the Marriott Waikiki Beach |
HONOLULU, Hawaii March 8, 2005 -- Decision Research Corporation (DRC), a rating and policy processing software solution provider to the Property & Casualty insurance industry, today announced the success of their inaugural DRC Client Conference, held February 22nd and 23rd at the Marriott Waikiki Beach. The two-day event brought together a select group of DRC clients as well as DRC executives and V1STA RateMaker and DecisionMaker product experts, offering a forum for sharing of experiences and insight into DRC's corporate and product directions. The agenda also included presentations from Chad Hersh of Celent Communications and Josh Lee of Microsoft Corporation. Mr. Hersh shared his expertise of technology and insurance with a "State of the Industry" session, while Mr. Lee provided the group an informative overview of "Services Oriented Architecture and Industry Standards". Both the DRC clients and the DRC team acknowledge the benefits of bringing the groups together to continue to strengthen the client/vendor relationship while also gaining the benefit of a wide-range of perspectives on the insurance market, trends, products and services. According to John Javaruski, President of Response Insurance, "This conference was a great opportunity to learn from others and to have a voice in the direction of the products. DRC has been a great partner to work with, in large part due to their commitment to their clients and their willingness to be open to our input and ideas. The open communication with DRC has really enabled a great relationship as well as the continuous improvement of the product." Mr. Javaruski added, "And I must also mention that escaping to Hawaii in February is always a good idea." Karen Yamamoto, DRC Vice President of Product Development, commented, "We appreciate that so many of our clients took the time to attend the event. Our primary objective was to provide an informative and enjoyable conference for our users, but we also gained a great deal. The real-world perspectives of our clients and their input and suggestions regarding DRC's product directions and strategy are of huge benefit to us. We look forward to seeing an even larger user representation at next year's event." Walt Simmons, President and founder of DRC, also noted, "In addition to extending a thank you to our clients for their participation, I'd also like to personally thank Microsoft and Celent for their contributions. The DRC staff and clients benefited from these outstanding presentations and left us all with a better understanding of industry and technology trends and how they are influencing the shape of future technology from industry powerhouses like Microsoft. We feel that working closely with highly respected organizations like Celent and Microsoft will further enable DRC to continue to offer our clients the absolute best in insurance software solutions."
