V1STA RateMaker selected to automate the creation of EIC’s rating engine services

HONOLULU, Hawaii August 6, 2003 -- Decision Research Corporation (DRC), a leading provider of insurance processing solutions and Electric Insurance (EIC), a General Electric employee benefit provider for over 35 years, announced today the selection of V1STA RateMaker to automate the creation of EIC’s rating engine services.

The V1STA RateMaker solution utilizes a Microsoft® Excel™ rating spreadsheet as the blueprint for generating a fast, scalable rating engine service. The automation of this previously manual process allows EIC to improve response to changes in product offerings and compliance with state mandated regulations. With over 60 rate and product changes last year, implementation of V1STA RateMaker is anticipated to significantly reduce EIC’s time to market.
