Our Fall 2022 #DRCOpenHouse commenced on Monday, November 14, 2022, where students from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa and Hawaii Pacific University with an interest in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, and Marketing had an opportunity to tour our Hawai’i headquarters and engage with mentors from the DRC team. The students came to the mentors for guidance around various topics including the technology industry, collegiate experiences that enabled career growth and opportunities, and key factors for furthering success, not only as individuals, but also within a business.
The afternoon began with an introduction to DRC: our history, who we are, and why we love furthering the technological landscape of Hawai’i and the mainland. Current intern, Jaden Morga, and past intern turned full-time Software Engineer, Adam Takahashi, spoke about their experiences during DRC’s internship program, then answered questions from the students pertaining to the program. Students then broke off engaging with our mentors in one-on-one or panel group sessions. A quick networking session, paired with snacks and drinks, made the evening complete.
DRC continually aims to give back and engage with our local communities, and #DRCOpenHouse is just one of the many ways we’re looking to further our footprint. New talent enables new ideas and innovation to our business that in turn, helps DRC innovate the industry.
