Karen Yamamoto, CEO and President
Karen is the current CEO and President of Decision Research Corporation and has held that position since 2019. Karen graduated from the University of Hawaii, Manoa and began her career at DRC as a developer and held a myriad of roles including Vice President, Executive Vice President, enabling a natural progression to her current role as CEO and President. Under Karen's leadership, DRC continues to further research and development of solution offerings to the Specialty Insurance industry, along with continued growth of the business after celebrating over half a century in business.

Rob Whitton, Vice President of Business Development
As DRC’s Vice President of Business Development, Robert Whitton leads the team responsible for identifying new market opportunities and cultivating partnerships & relationships for DRC’s products and services. Rob graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and has been with DRC since 2004 working in various roles including Vice President of Product, project management, product architecture and client implementations.

Steven Blaire, Vice President of Platform and Cloud Services
As DRC’s Vice President of Platform and Cloud Services, Steven oversees DRC’s cloud services and security, software quality, testing, and automation capabilities. Steven graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and has been with DRC since 2017. He previously held the role of Director of Quality Assurance and Release Management and established the DRC Summer Internship Program in 2018, annually spearheading the program as Internship Director.

Cassandra Uyema, Human Resources Coordinator
Cassandra is DRC’s Human Resources Coordinator where she supports the needs of all DRC’s employees across the US. She started at DRC in the Office Administrator role where she learned to take on various projects of all HR and Admin tasks, after graduating from Pacific Lutheran University. Today, Cassandra is responsible for coordinating employee events, human resources, university outreach, and aids our Talent Acquisition team to recruit top talent for DRC.

Paul Estioko, Cloud Security Engineer
Paul began his career in technology when he joined DRC in 2019 where he was originally hired as a Quality Assurance Analyst. While working full time at DRC, Paul graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with his Masters of Science in Computer Science. Paul now serves as DRC’s Cloud Security Engineer and has contributed to the furthering of DRC’s security measures alongside our Cloud Services team.

Josephine Garces, UI Designer & Developer
After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Manoa, Josephine began her career at DRC as an Application Developer. Josephine now serves as a Software Engineer and UI designer, playing an essential role within the UI team. Her responsibilities include the implementation of new features, troubleshooting issues, and providing guidance and feedback on technical and UI-related issues.

Karen Wong, Sofware Engineer
Karen is currently a Software Engineer at DRC after graduating from University of Hawaii at Manoa with her Computer Science degree. She previously started interning as part of the 2022 Summer Program where she worked on the UI/UX design team helping to implement new design features and elements. In her current role as part of the Client Services team, she contributes to the development of various client projects she's on and helps find solutions for arising technical issues.

Nicholas Samson, IT Administrator
Nicholas Samson is currently an IT Administrator at DRC. He began at DRC as an intern for our IT Operations Specialist team. After graduating with his Management Information Systems degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa he transitioned to a full-time role before being promoted to his current position. Nicholas works heavily with our servers, troubleshooting computer issues with our employees, and provides guidance for our help desk and IT Operations teams.

Krizel Tomines, Marketing Associate
Krizel, a recent graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with degrees in Management Information Systems and Marketing, officially joined the Marketing team as a Marketing Associate. She a part of the 2023 Summer Internship Program cohort where she worked on a marketing campaign that ran through the summer. In her role as a Marketing Associate, Krizel's responsibilities include overseeing DRC's graphic design efforts, conducting in-depth market research, producing visual and video content, and contributing to the development of our website.
